Does the Text Free App from pinger replace your existing iPhone phone number?

I have the iPhone and it obviously has it's existing phone number. I recently saw an App for the iPhone, TextFree Unlimited from Pinger Inc. It says that it gives you your own phone number so that people can actually send you texts. I want to know if the phone number they give you replaces the existing phone number for my iPhone.Does the Text Free App from pinger replace your existing iPhone phone number?
No, it does not replace your phone number. It gives you an additional phone number that you can send to your contacts so your texting will be free and save you some bucks along the way.
