What is the parallelism between suburbia, consumer society, the recent financial crisis, US wars, and PR?

I have to write a research essay for my class and I can't seem to grasp the connection between all FIVE topics. Any information/help would be greatly appreciated. What is the parallelism between suburbia, consumer society, the recent financial crisis, US wars, and PR?Suburbia led to a consumer society -- have to fill all those houses, keep up with the Joneses, etc.

Buying those houses costs money, so you get a mortgage. But everyone is trying to keep up with the Joneses so they buy more house they can afford, aided by lax lending standards which led to the the housing meltdown and financial crisis (you will have to do some research on this - there's a lot more to it.)

Being in suburbia required people to buy cars, which used oil which we get from the Middle East (among other places). We fight wars to protect that source of oil.

Public relations and advertising (perfected in the 1950s, same time suburbia started) started the whole consumerism cycle which led to the rest of it.

You will have to take it from here. Good luck.
