invovement in American revolution and seven year war, anything else. ?What were the contributing factors of the French pre revolution financial crisis?The constant wars during the 18th century were a major factor but also outrageous spending by the aristocracy. Nearly the entire aristocracy were in debt, and when a government is in debt and the the richest classes are also in debt the result can only be negative. Despite this, recovery could of been possible but a bad harvest added in was simply to much and the highly taxed third estate (common people) snapped.
