It's not good... but does anyone else have any viable ideas? Do we suffer a major depression as a country, go through who knows what just in the name of not reacting, or do we do what we have to do to get us out of this funk?
Maybe there are better ideas out there, but I haven't heard of them yet.
My personal opinion is to cut the absolutely non-essential programs and committees and only fund what is absolutely necessary. There's a bunch of fat out there, but usually on the state level. I don't think that the feds have a terrible amount of control in state budgets... so maybe they're doing what they can. States need to crack down on the silly stuff and go to the basics so we can pull together as a country and solve this huge problem.
My 2 cents.Uncle Sam is printing new money to solve a financial crisis. Will this lead to recovery or ruin? ?the problem is not the country don't have money. It is the hands the money is in. The people who need it don't have it . The people who have more than they need won't invest it in the public. unless they send every United States citizen who make less than $40,000 a year about $5000.00 it will not help a thing. An for god sakes raise the minimum wadge to at least $8.50 . A person can't eat who is stuck at a minimum wadge job. The cost of everything is out running the wadge basis about 20% every year. You got to get the lower class about the poverty level or we are all doomed. For there numbers are growing and they can't afford to shop . there to busy trying to just scape by. The government works hard on feeding other countries. How about fixing thing so we can at least feed our own. Stop handing out tax payers dollars around the world till we can at least take care of our own people.Uncle Sam is printing new money to solve a financial crisis. Will this lead to recovery or ruin? ?Ruin. Printing money without the funds to back it up leads to double digit inflation. And of course, the dollar won't be worth the paper it's written on.
