2 of 100 senators.
did anyone of them had anythign to do with 08 financial crisis.
how can they take blame or credit for what happened last 8-years.Did either mccain or obama had anthing to do with financial crisis of 08. 2 of 100 senators.?
McCain had tried to pull us out of this, he had proposed a bill to improve fannie mae, freddie mac - didnt get voted on. Would have helped to correct the mess Clinton caused with the amendments to the Community Reinvestment Act which mandated sub-prime loans and consideration of "other factors". Look it up - its under CRA, Pub.L. 95-128, title VIII, 91 Stat. 1147, 12 U.S.C. 搂 2901
As to Obama - he cant be blamed for any of this since he hasnt done anything on it, or been around at all.
Obama recieved the second highest amount of money from Fannie May behind Chris Dodd, another democratic senator. He didn't help the situation.Did either mccain or obama had anthing to do with financial crisis of 08. 2 of 100 senators.?
Yes they can take part of the blame.
No they did not. Lots of people were responsible. The Government overall should have had their eye on the housing market, and the banks and people giving loans should not have been giving out loans like candy to people who could not afford them.
One guy said, "Everyone has the right to live in a house." Yes that's true but you have to be able to make payments on that house. If you aren't making enough money you can't just get whatever you want. Get a better job THEN get a house.
Overall it's lots of people's faults, greedy loan people, banks, the Government, and people who wanted to buy houses they couldn't afford. Did either mccain or obama had anthing to do with financial crisis of 08. 2 of 100 senators.?
Well, McCain has been in Congress for 20 + yrs.
Mccain has been very influential in the Senate pushing deregulation...he can be blamed.
Also look at his track record: The Savings and Loan crisis of the 1980's found fault with 5 senators (the keating 5)...John McCain was one of the five. He was sensured by Congress as showing poor judgement.
Since McCain has been in office for 26 years, and since he's voted for deregulation of banks the last 4 times, I would say he's very involved in the crisis.
Obama's only been there a couple years, so no, he has nothing to do with it.
