I have a ipod touch, and i just downloaded the app textfree

it gave me my own phone number

i wanted to know if people can text me first with this number

like if i gave this number to somebody and they text me will i get the messege

or do i have to text them first???

It shouldn't have gave you a phone number it should have gave gave you an email address which people can MMS you (it's like an SMS) and it will pop up on your iPhone or iPod touch only google voice gives you your own phone number unless something has changed.
