Why aren't most people much more interested in learning about the news internationally or the financial crisis?

What are your thoughts on the matter, is it because most people just don't have the time to do so or do people just not care to in your opinion?Why aren't most people much more interested in learning about the news internationally or the financial crisis?I think people just do it out of apathy, but they don't realize that they really need to heighten their awareness because these are things that will affect them and their children in the long run. People these days can be really closed-minded.Why aren't most people much more interested in learning about the news internationally or the financial crisis?they dont care until 9/11 happens again because we where all asleep at the wheel.
