Have any of the people who precipitated this financial crisis apologized yet?

Apologize? Bush is paying them a fortune for their screw-up. Would you apologize if you got a huge bonus at work after doing a bad job? Have any of the people who precipitated this financial crisis apologized yet?You mean like the low income working class people who cheerfully bought overly-expensive houses with mortgages they couldn't afford, demonstrating that all the money the public spent on teaching them arithmetic so that they could be competent adults was wasted?

No, I don't think any of them have apologized.

Have any of the people who precipitated this financial crisis apologized yet?
also don't forget the congressional committees chaired by barney frank and chris dodd whose purpose was to oversee the operations of the banks and other lending institutions which made those loans to those people who could not afford them. freddy mac and fanny mae, the two government run lending institutions which went "down the tubes" under the watchful eyes of the democratic led committees.

problems with fredy and fany were known to exist two years ago but nothing was done.Have any of the people who precipitated this financial crisis apologized yet?Who are they going to apologize to? Blame the people who took the loans they knew they couldn't afford. Don't blame the banks, The banking committee led by Barney Frank changed the rules where by,, banks who did not give the loans to the borrowers were penalized by the federal government. We and the banks should be going after Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, and Chuch Shumar who made these crazy laws forcing banks to get us in this mess. Even in 2006 and 2007 when the banking committee was told Fannie and Freddie were in trouble, Frank, Dodd and Shumar said the grass is green. pathetic.
I hesitate to blame the victims when they were lured to their own destruction by predatory lending - but the fact remains it takes two to tango. Stupidity, cupidity, and greed played a big part on both sides. In Oz we haven't had much predatory lending due to bank regulations, but we have certainly had a couple of decades of building huge "merchant builder" unsustainable housing on smaller and smaller blocks of land, excessive immigration and population growth, vote-buying Government subsidies for "first home buyers" pushing prices up - and soaring prices and mortgages coupled to unsustainable credit card debts. In search of profits to sustain all this, our banks did take on some toxic finance "products" from USA but not much. Our debt per head is more than three times what it was at the Great Depression (adjusted). Our share market value has fallen more than one-third in 12 months and flaps like a diseased sparrow daily on the wind from Wall Street. Nobody seems to have an horizon beyond a year or the next election. Look at climate change, which is far more serious than any economic recession, as it threatens life on earth! How many billions are we demanding be spent on that?Have any of the people who precipitated this financial crisis apologized yet?The people most responsible have yet to apologize.

The people most responsible are, of course, those who took out mortgages that they could not afford to repay. Have any of the people who precipitated this financial crisis apologized yet?
I'm still waiting for an apology from the gas station worker who bought a Million Dollar Home, then defaulted on the mortgage, knowing darn well he couldn't pay it and should have never signed for it.
They are still too busy parting with the money that was given to them in the bailout to apologize.Have any of the people who precipitated this financial crisis apologized yet?
No, they are probably out on another junket! Sheesh!
