Why are Republicans against raising taxes on the people who cause the financial crisis?

They keep saying it is an increase on small business. But less than 5% (according to the IRS) of small business owners have a personal income of more than $250,000.



Who makes that kind of money? Big time corporate executives, bankers, financiers,etc... the same people whose dangerous, speculative behavior lined their own pockets while crashing the whole financial system.



Why shouldn't they have their taxes raised? Why are Republicans protecting them?Why are Republicans against raising taxes on the people who cause the financial crisis?Because those are the people who donate to republican campaigns and to the PAC's that support them. Small business owners did not start this crisis. it was the big firms that were lining Obama's campaign chest.



Raising taxes = more Congressional spending. It does not mean paying down the deficit.
