Can today's financial crisis be worse than in 1929 ? What are the differences between today and 1929 ?

In 1929 we were in a depression. 25% of the workforce was out of work. Today, in Illinois we are at 7.3% and rising. We could be in slippery slope downfall, that is why the government has to step in, to try and avert the mess we have gotten ourselves into.

In 1929, the world was not afforded the instant communication we have today, and most companies were not global. Today, there are several companies that have their capital in many regions of the world, and if we fall, the rest of the world will fall with us. That is why we are hearing about it from several other countries as well.

We are so deep in debt with other countries at this point, we have to borrow money every day to avoid collapse.

Elizabeth L. Strauch, MBACan today's financial crisis be worse than in 1929 ? What are the differences between today and 1929 ?I don't think that it'll be as bad, because many countries have money to stabilize to Economy, and there are even some private companies who would like to invest in the country! Can today's financial crisis be worse than in 1929 ? What are the differences between today and 1929 ?I don't know but I just spent $55 filling up my little sedan with gas and not only that but had to drive to the next town to find a station that didn't say "sorry out of gas".

Times are scarey right now. Can today's financial crisis be worse than in 1929 ? What are the differences between today and 1929 ?I don't understand if we're experiencing a recession or an inflation, lol
