As the financial crisis goes into extra innings, will divided government help or hurt the financial system?

If President Bush had not received cooperation from a Democratic Congress in starting the bailout of the financial system, wouldn't the U.S. currently be bankrupt? As the financial crisis goes into extra innings, will divided government help or hurt the financial system?Well I don't think that the Bailout really helped, I mean most of the money just went out there. So basically millions of tax payer dollars was spent foolishly. The economy tanked because of greed, the mortgage crisis which was caused by Clinton, and the fact that the United States lets companies import tons of foreign made goods while jobs are shipped overseas. Until we address those problems we won't get anything done.As the financial crisis goes into extra innings, will divided government help or hurt the financial system? The bailouts under Bush only happened because he wanted funding for the war, and the Democrats demanded TARP in "exchange" for that funding. Extortion, plain and simple. As the financial crisis goes into extra innings, will divided government help or hurt the financial system?Unless you're a fan of fascism, any government intervention in the free market will only hurt.
