I got an ipod Touch. It has an app called textfree from pinger. It said if you sign up for things, you get free phone minutes. I signed up for a few free ones and got hardly any minutes. 1 said sign up for netflix for a free trial and get a bunch of free minutes. I did and free minutes appeared. Then pinger said in a text message that if I don' use my phone number at least once every 30 days, I will lose my minutes. I immediately sent several text messages, made phone calls, received and answered phone calls. The only thing I didn't do was receive a text message. Pinger took away my phone number at the end of the 30 days, saying I hadn't used it. They took all my Netflix free phone minutes and Netflix charged me $10 monthly fee at the end/start of the month.
So my first question is how do you stop pinger from taking away all your minutes after 30 days since it's clearly not true that if you use your phone number that doesn't happen. Also how can I get my money back because netflix charged me and pinger took the minutes away.
Then I re-set it up to have a new phone number. pinger said if you sign up for gamefly you get a whole bunch of minutes for free. I followed the app links and went to gamefly and signed up. Gamefly immediately charged my account about $10 even though gamefly said it cost about $7.50 for the 1-month trial. It would have been cheaper for me to buy minutes through pinger. gamefly changed what they said the charge would be because otherwise people would just buy the minutes through pinger, not signing up for gamefly. It has been almost a week since then and I have received ZERO minutes to use. What's worse is that I am now signed up for the gamefly trial, they will be charging me every month from now on like $15-$25 or something crazy. I can't figure out how to cancel my gamefly account so they can't do that.
How can I close my gamefly account so they can't charge me? And how can I get my money back from gamefly for the trial through pinger that was supposed to give me hundreds of free cell phone minutes?Pinger Textfree Netflix Gamefly free cell phone minutes scammed me, how to end this nightmare?
